The women of WWE took center stage on Sunday — and delivered. For the first time in seven years, Evolution took place as WWE held the event dedicated to its talented women’s division.
The all-women wrestling event featured five championship matches and a women's battle royal. Ahead of the event at State Farm Arena, over 10,000 tickets had already been distributed for it, per Fox 5 Atlanta.

Following the immense commercial success of the wildly entertaining event, former WWE champion Big E proposed that WWE Evolution become an annual WWE staple.
"Nights like tonight make you feel something. Being here [at Evolution] was a spiritual experience," said the WWE star. "We saw two women put their bodies on the line. We saw two of the very best at their craft give everything ... What [the WWE women's superstars] did here tonight, they left us with something truly special that I will not forget for a very long time."
Dissatisfied with the seven-year gap between Evolution 2 and its debut in 2018, Big E hopes for a quick turnaround for WWE's next all-women wrestling event.
"Let's not wait another seven years to do this, please," the former WWE champion said during the WWE Evolution post-show.
With all eyes on the WWE's stacked women's division, the superstars didn't disappoint. The most coveted titles in the division — the WWE Women’s Championship, Women’s World Heavyweight Championship and Women’s NXT Championship — were all on the line, as well as the Intercontinental and Tag Team titles.
Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky, two of WWE's most popular stars, put on a five-star main-event match. The fast-paced championship brawl was capped by Naomi's stunning Money in the Bank cash-in to win the WWE Women's World Title over Ripley and Sky.
WWE has gotten used to a five-match format for most big events, but Evolution's seven-match fight card helped deliver one of the best premium live events in 2025.
Hopefully, as Big E and many others have pined for, Evolution becomes a yearly fixture for WWE.
Over the last decade, the women's division has made tremendous strides in talent and popularity, making WWE a more well-rounded product.
"We built the foundation that they built a skyscraper on," said WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus.
Though televised matches are not as plentiful as with the men's division, events like Evolution help dispel rumors that women's matches can't draw crowds.
