This rivalry is too long, and too cold. How many times is the WWE Universe expected to invest in WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan or IYO SKY in a title match? It’s even challenging to write about it again for these WWE SummerSlam final card predictions. The result will clearly be Judgement Day helping Morgan retain the title.

Gunther Vs. Nick Aldis

“The Ring General” Gunther and former SmackDown general manager Nick Aldis have been involved in escalating incidents for weeks. A bump turned into a chokehold, and now Aldis quit his job to get his hands on Gunther on the WWE SummerSlam final card.

For those unfamiliar, Aldis has a lengthy and storied wrestling past, with amazing matches against some of the best. This match has more potential than a typical general manager in a match, but the outcome feels predictable. Gunther’s been given the moniker of “Career Killer,” so expect him to leave his opponent unconscious in the middle of the ring.

Six-Man Tag Team Match: LA Knight, Solo Sikoa & Royce Keys Vs. Jacob Fatu & The Usos

This mashing of storylines gives the WWE Universe a six-man tag match, which surely wouldn’t make the cut for a one-night event. Despite LA Knight having some of his best promos since joining the company, WWE still seems resistant to giving “The Megastar” a mega-push. In fact, he feels like the odd one out, and the choice to take the pinfall loss for his team. This is more likely to be a quick-paced, chaotic event, and less of a classic wrestling match.

Six-Woman Tag Team Match: The Bella Twins & Paige Vs. Fatal Influence

WWE Hall of Famers, The Bella Twins (Nikki and Brie Bella), were supposed to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship months ago. An injury to Nikki brought Paige into the equation. They had a short and uninteresting run before dropping the straps on two-thirds of Fatal Attraction, Lainey Reid and Fallon Henley.

Nikki’s return from injury has brought the other member of Fatal Attraction, Jacy Jayne, into the picture, causing this six-woman contest. The match is sure to disappoint, and they’re not using this surprise return to put over up-and-comers. Look for one of the tag champs to take the pin, setting up another championship bout on this WWE SummerSlam final card.

World Heavyweight Championship Match: Roman Reigns Vs. Seth Rollins – Night Two

For the brand-name talent with the history they share, the buildup for this match has been lukewarm. Seth Rollins stated on Raw that he knows World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns is the bigger star, but claimed he’ll never be a comparable in-ring tactician. The strength of Reigns’ booking may also be the weakest part of his character; he’s not getting pinned.

It’s not a lock prediction, but Rollins’ status could take the loss more than his opponent. The Bloodline could aid Reigns to protect his opponent as much as possible in the loss on the WWE SummerSlam final card.

Interim WWE Women’s Championship Ladder Match: Tiffany Stratton Vs. Jade Cargill Vs Charlotte Flair Vs. Chelsea Green Vs. TBA

With the recent injury to WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley, WWE announced this ladder match to crown an interim champion. There hasn’t been an interim champ with the company since the NXT Cruiserweight Championship in 2020. To predict the winner is to decide which is the most logical to face Ripley in a unification bout.

Tiffany Stratton is the current WWE United States Champion, and she’s certainly not two-belt caliber. Chelsea Green is more about moments than wins lately, so expect her for the most shocking spot of the match, but that will also take her out of it. Jade Cargill has the most recent heat with Ripley, so look for Michin and B-Fab to get involved and help her.

Intercontinental Championship Match: Penta Vs. Chad Gable

After the end of his Grande Americano gimmick, WWE packed Chad Gable into this ultimate babyface crowd-pleaser. While also a good guy, WWE Intercontinental Champion Penta has had an entertaining run since debuting with the company, but this might be a natural way to introduce something fresh. The reversals and combinations from these two top-tier workers are sure to please. Gable’s been on a luchador redemption tour of sorts, so watch for Penta to raise the hand in support of the new champ.

United States Championship Match: Trick Williams Vs. Baron Corbin

Baron Corbin made his return to WWE by jumping the barricade to rush WWE United States Champion Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes, who were mid-match. It’s difficult to picture either guy taking a pin. On one hand, the massive surprise return of a veteran, and on the other side, a relative up-and-comer who’s taken the WWE Universe by storm. A loss for either guy would really slow their roll.

The best way to protect both of these guys would be to get Hayes involved. He could be upset with Corbin for costing him his title shot, and retaliate by taking this one away on the WWE SummerSlam final card.

Undisputed WWE Championship No. 1 Contender’s Match: Sami Zayn Vs. Finn Balor

This is the story of two former champions with an unlucky history around major championships. Zayn held the title for eight days as a SmackDown superstar, but was forced to drop the strap to Punk on Raw. Balor, on the other hand, never got another major title opportunity after being forced to drop the WWE Universal Championship due to injury.

It doesn’t matter who wins the title the day before; Zayn has a deeper storyline going with both men. These two talented workers will show elite reversals and tense false finishes, but Balor has an uphill battle ahead on the WWE SummerSlam final card.

Danhausen Vs. Dominik Mysterio

Danhausen is not a PLE-level wrestler, so this feels like WWE was stretching to fill both nights. He should stick to the comedic, childish gimmicks on SmackDown or Raw. “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio gains nothing with a win or loss here, so he’s likely to lose from some sort of theatrics.
