WWE Superstars Who Desperately Need A Creative Change
via IMAGN Image Services

WWEhas a large roster filled with incredible talents capable of great things inside the ring. However, WWE's recent releases have showcased that nobody has a safe position in the company right now. Certain wrestlers are very unlikely to be released because they're putting great gimmicks together, but there are others who would benefit from a change.

Whether it's because they could potentially be at risk of being released because they're not used on television or that fans simply want to see something different from them, many wrestlers need to shake things up. A slight gimmick change can make a significant difference in someone's career, and WWE has plenty of talent ready to experience that.

Santos Escobar

He's Struggling To Be Shown As A Top Star

Santos Escobar is a brilliant wrestler who can deliver a great match every week, making him useful on the main roster. However, his current gimmick is one he's portrayed since being in WWE NXT, with the only difference being whether or not he's a babyface.

Seeing lead Legado Del Fantasma has been fun but has run its course. Fans are ready for a tweak, and Escobar has more than enough talent to deliver more. He should be a top mid-card act within the company, but at this point in time, he's the type of person who fans just expect to lose.

WWE's new relationship with AAA could inspire a change. Whether it's breaking out as a singles act without others or putting together a totally different gimmick, he needs something. The timing for it is perfect, and if WWE can make it work for him to be a top star during this AAA transition, it could save his career in the long term.

Natalya

She's Displayed An Interesting Option Away From WWE Lately

Natalya is one of WWE's most talented wrestlers from an in-ring perspective, but that hasn't been enough to create a significant push for her over the years. She's someone who is always around but rarely gets plugged into important storylines, and that's something that could inspire a gimmick change within itself.

Natalya expressing her frustration would be the best possible thing she could do, as she likely has a lot of genuine frustration about how her career has gone over the years. Tapping into that would be interesting, as fans want to see that type of passion rather than Natalya smiling and seemingly being happy to be there.

During WWE WrestleMania 41 weekend, Natalya wasn't on the card. However, she competed at Josh Barnett's Bloodsport, where she displayed a different gimmick. Natalya leaned into the fact she's a genuine badass and brought a new look that would be interesting to see played out on WWE television.

Austin Theory

He Has Dropped Down The Card Dramatically Under Triple H

There was a time when it seemed like Austin Theory was set to become a future World Champion due to how heavily Vince McMahon pushed him. However, nowadays, he couldn't be any further away from that position as Triple H simply hasn't gotten behind him since taking over the main roster creative.

Theory has slipped down the card quickly, and it's hard to see how he gets back. However, the answer is a gimmick change as his tag team run with Grayson Waller has run its course. It would be beneficial for both men to split, with one getting to try and make a babyface turn work in the process, which is a role Theory seems best suited for.

He's able to do comedy and talented enough to win fans over as a babyface. This would instantly give him the chance to work his way back up the card and return to doing something relevant with his career.

AJ Styles

He Deserves More Focus Before Retiring

AJ Styles is someone who fans are always going to be interested in seeing due to the fact that he's a legend of the business and someone who has put an incredible career together. While that means he's going to have a place on the card until he retires, the fact is that the Phenomenal One's time in the business is starting to come towards its end.

That's why WWE needs to get the best out of him, and there's no doubt he has one more great run within him. However, it feels like a gimmick change is required to unlock that, as he's fallen into the old-school veteran role of being plucked into random feuds, often to make other people look good rather than himself.

Whether it's a heel turn or him openly pushing for a title run, Styles needs to do something to get fans totally invested in him. WWE can get a lot more out of Styles than they are doing, and that's why a small tweak would be so beneficial to his career, even at this late stage.
