At NXT Battleground, NXT General Manager Ava announced that the winner of the May 27 NXT North American Championship match between Ricky Saints and Ethan Page would defend at Worlds Collide. Page captured the title that night, but his celebration was cut short by three challengers. Je’Von Evans, AAA World Cruiserweight Champion Laredo Kid, and SmackDown’s Rey Fenix all stepped up to stake their claim.
At Worlds Collide, Page must defend his title in a high-stakes fatal four-way match. With Evans’ athleticism, Laredo Kid’s international experience, and Fenix’s world-renowned lucha style, the odds are against the champion. Having shown to be crafty before, can Page defy the odds and remain the NXT North American Champion?
Chad Gable challenges El Hijo del Vikingo for the prestigious AAA Mega Championship. The rivalry sparked when Vikingo appeared on an episode of Raw. On that show, Gable was pinned by Penta, who subsequently qualified for the Money in the Bank ladder match.
The stakes grew even higher when Vikingo captured the AAA Mega Championship on May 31 at the AAA Alianzas event in Mexico City. Now, with pride, revenge, and gold on the line, Vikingo and Gable are set to collide in a high-stakes showdown.
At Battleground, AAA’s Dalys and Chik Tormenta were spotted backstage with Ava before watching Stephanie Vaquer successfully defend her NXT Women’s Championship against Jordynne Grace. Tensions boiled over later that night as Vaquer confronted the two AAA stars in a heated argument. Days later on NXT, Ava announced a tag team match for Worlds Collide, pitting Vaquer against Dalys and Tormenta.
Before the situation could escalate further, Lola Vice stepped up to join forces with Vaquer. The match was made official, setting the stage for a high-stakes cross-promotional clash. This match will be a clash of WWE’s most dynamic and AAA’s finest.
