WWE has been on fire lately, especially with the billions of dollars they secured with the media rights deals. Now they are growing the number of PPVs for 2025. The company has recently announced that a new PPV will be arriving, and it is called WWE Wrestlepalooza. There are some intriguing revelations made regarding the show. Those revelations are a negative and a positive for certain people/companies.

Where And When Will WWE Wrestlepalooza Take Place?

The Wrestlepalooza show is taking place in Indianapolis, Indiana, and it will occur on September 20, 2025. If that date sounds familiar, it is because it does for AEW. AEW is WWE’s competition in the pro wrestling industry, and on September 20, AEW is doing its own PPV titled All Out. All Out is one of AEW’s biggest shows of the year, and it is clear WWE chose this date to try to screw over them . That is probably why Brock Lesnar vs John Cena is likely happening on this show. The company is trying t o drive a portion of the AEW audience to watch their show instead.

The Bad News For Peacock

Here is where the bad news comes for Peacock: this PPV won’t be available on their streams. That’s right, it will be the first PPV that will be streamed on ESPN. This news came out of nowhere, as it was expected that PPV streams were going to stay on Peacock until the beginning of 2026, but they are leaving early. However, that’s not the case now, and it has resulted in a mixed reaction from fans.

No matter what, it is a big negative for Peacock not being able to stream this PPV. That means that the Clash In Paris PPV at the end of August will be the last PPV that will be streamed there. At least Peacock will continue to stream the Saturday Night Live shows that WWE does once in a while, and agreed to do it in a new multi-year contract. That is the only confir med pro wrestling that will be done on Peacock until things change.

Final Thoughts

This is a PPV that came out of nowhere, and almost nobody knew this was coming, excluding the higher-ups. Peacock is in a worse spot because of this news, as there is a chunk of pro wrestling fans who are going to leave the app as a result of this. Wrestlepalooza getting a short build time is such a risk, and it is clear the company is willing to take it to screw over AEW. Hopefully, for them, the Wrestlepalooza PPV is good, and Peacock can recover from the early departure of content.
