It’s been known for a while that WWEwants to build a new Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H had confirmed the news back in early September. The current one has been around since 2013. In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer has provided an update about the plans for the new building.
The idea for the planned new WWE Performance Center in Orlando, is to have a larger & better facility with a television studio as part of it. It will be located near the new stadium.Ground hasn’t broken on it so it will be a few years before the move is fully made.- @WONF4Wpic.twitter.com/Cot191bcYU— WrestlePurists (@WrestlePurists) October 24, 2025
So the facility will still be in Orlando, and per Meltzer, “the idea is to have a larger & better facility with a television studio as part of it.” Though from the sounds of it, it’s going to be a few years before the move is fully made.
Some of the current biggest names in WWE have spent their time at the center before their main roster runs. Those notable names include the current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Charlotte Flair, WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton, WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch, and former WWE U.S. Champion Sami Zayn. So it’s been a place where talent does flourish if given the chance, of course.
As mentioned, the WWE PC opened in 2013. The current PC coaches include several former WWE Superstars, including Matt Bloom (Prince Albert), Fit Finlay, Oney Lorcan, Cory Weston (Wesley Blake), AJ Winkler (Alexander James), Norman Smiley, and Terry Taylor.
Former Ring of Honor stars Steve Corino and Sara Amato (Sara Del Rey) — WWE’s first female trainer in the history of WWE's Developmental System are also coaches. So, in other words, the PC does have a lot of talent to teach the new generation of stars.
As noted, WWE recently released several names from both its NXT and ID developmental brands. One big name that was released from NXT was former NXT North American Champion Wes Lee, while another name was Evolve GM and assistant to the NXT GM, Stevie Turner. Some of the notable ID prospects that were released were Lance Anoa’i, who never got to wrestle due to injuries, and Kylie Rae.
So, what will the WWE's new PC bring? Only time will tell. What can be said is that they can have all the state-of-the-art technology, but what really matters is the coaches and the talent. WWE has been around for decades, and one of the reasons is that it puts a lot of faith in its new talent. It's a company that creates stars, even when it doesn't always feel like it.
