Manny Higuera is drawing attention for his play in the Arena Football One (AF1) league and for his unconventional size.
Higuera stands at 5-foot-5 and was listed at 285 pounds on his college football profile. He plays for the Washington Wolfpack in AF1. The league does not have field-goal kicks, but it does allow for drop kicks. A few weeks ago, Higuera made the first drop kick in the league.
Higuera drew more attention for a play in the Wolfpack’s most recent game. Higuera attempted another drop kick, and then he got shoved to the ground on a blindside hit.

What a rough break for Higuera.
Wondering more about him? Higuera played for Arizona Christian University in college and holds the school record with a 49-yard field goal he made in 2019. He went to Paradise Valley High School in Phoenix, Ariz., for high school, and played soccer in addition to some football.
You gotta love Manny Higuera.
