On the ESPN+ portion of the Denys Berinchyk vs. Keyshawn Davis fight card, lightweight prospect Abdullah Mason (17-0, 15 KOs) scored a fourth-round knockout over Manuel Jaimes (16-3-1, 11 KOs). It was one of Mason’s best performances against an opponent who had never been stopped.

Mason was aggressive with movement but patient with his punch selection to begin the fight in the first round. Towards the end of the round, Mason landed a right jab and followed it with a check left hook, which buzzed Jaimes. In the second round, Mason threw a right jab, and when Jaimes lunged in, Mason took a step back and threw a left uppercut, sending Jaimes down for the fight’s first knockdown. Jaimes beat the count and finished the round, but Mason dominated it.
Mason continued to pour it on in the third round as he landed a left uppercut on the inside and followed it with a right hook to the chest, sending Jaimes down for the second. Mason was doing whatever he wanted throughout the round. At the beginning of the fourth round, Mason landed a left hook, which sent Jaimes down for the third time in the fight. Mason smelled blood in the water and went after Jaimes. Mason would throw a double right hook, sending Jaimes down for the fourth time and forcing the referee to waive it off.
Mason picked up his 17th win, but more importantly, he sent a clear message to the rest of the lightweight division with that great performance on ESPN+.
