Alimkhanuly Stops Ngamissengue To Remain IBF And WBO Middleweight Champ
Mark Lambie / El Paso Times

Janibek Alimkhanuly knocked out Anauel Ngamissengue in the fifth round to remain the IBF and WBO Middleweight Champion.

Janibek was the more superior fighter, as he overpowered his opponent. A right hand towards the end of the first round dropped Ngamissengue. While he got up from the canvas, the champion was in control. Janibek continued to walk forward. He stayed on the inside, landing a left hand followed by a right on the counter. The champion also rocked Ngamissengue on the inside, as it was one-sided.

Ngamissengue did land some left hands in round two, but it was not causing any damage. Janibek took confidence by connecting with an uppercut in the third. While Ngamissengue did well to stay in the fight, it was soon over. Alimkhanuly backed up Ngamissengue with a series of combinations before a left hand dropped him. Although he got up from the floor, the referee stopped the fight. The win solidified Alimkhanuly as one of the leading names in the middleweight divison.
