Being two of the most controversial internet personalities in the world, losses for Jake Paul and Andrew Tate this weekend were received differently amongst the fans.
This weekend was highly anticipated in the boxing world with both Jake Paul and Andrew Tate stepping into the ring for their respective fights.
‘The Problem Child’ started it off with his fight against Anthony Joshua on Friday night, which ended in brutal fashion after Joshua landed a straight right hand, breaking Paul’s jaw.
Less than 24 hours later, ‘Cobra’ Tate stepped in for his professional boxing debut, embarrassingly losing a decision against Chase DeMoor.
Despite his brutal loss to the former heavyweight world champion, Paul seemingly gained a lot of respect from the fanbase for lasting six rounds.
And although this loss likely puts an end to any audacious plans to go for a title in the future, his boxing skills cannot be understated.
Tate on the other hand showcased a completely opposite performance, which has since been heavily criticized online by not only fans, but combat sports stars too.
With both Tate and ‘The Problem Child’ having lost, fans have called for a potential fight between the two, despite the clear discrepancy in their skills.
However, even Tate knows that he isn’t on the same level as the 28-year-old and responded to the calls for a clash between them.
“I’m not ready for Jake. Time is the fire in which we all burn. Fighting is for young men,” Tate said in a post on X.
As soon as Paul absorbed the heavy right hand from Joshua, he knew that it had done severe damage to him, and he immediately confirmed that he’d broken his jaw.
Despite that, the 28-year-old bizarrely went on to drive himself to hospital after the fight, and underwent successful surgery just hours after.
Paul will likely return to the sport midway through 2026, and he has revealed that he will likely return to cruiserweight.
