Gustavo Trujillo scored one of 10 knockout wins on Saturday night at BKB 58 in Miami. Trujillo successfully defended his BKB heavyweight title by stopping Mick Terrill in the second round. Terrill had taken the fight on just 72-hours notice, but the Cuban was too big, strong and poised. The win likely establishes Trujillo as the best bare knuckle heavyweight fighter in the world. What Happened In Miami

Terrill stepped in for Mark O’Neil on short notice, which makes the second-round finish less surprising and the title reign no less real. Trujillo is now 9-0 with nine knockouts.

Ten of the 12 bouts ended inside the distance. Only Gamboa and Daimoni needed the judges, and Gamboa swept all three cards.

Aspen Ladd’s promotional debut ended in a decision loss, with one judge scoring it 48-47.

What’s Next For BKB’s Top Stars

Gustavo Trujillo. It might be a little early for Jesse Sparks to step up and challenge Trujillo. If I were BKB, I’d get Sparks 2 or 3 more fights before throwing him in with Trujillo.

Yuriorkis Gamboa. This may have been a one-and-done for Gamboa. He looked slick as he outclassed Talavera (who happened to have an adorable dog with him all fight week), but it is tough to see the future for Gamboa in BKB.

Alberto Blas. Blas is another legit star for Blas. He went nose to nose with Amado Vargas after his KO win over Birr and things got physical. There could be some money here.

Yunieski Gonzalez. Gonzalez is a big and powerful guy. It might be interesting to see him in with another of the night’s big winners, Keegan Vandermeer.

Gilberto Fuentes. Neither guy looked great, if we’re being honest. That said, a win is a win. If BKB doesn’t want to match Vandermeer with Gonzalez just yet, perhaps a date with Fuentes makes more sense.

Yampier Ramirez. Ramirez emerged as another top star in BKB. Harrison was severely overmatched and quite honestly, shouldn’t have been in the Trigon with Ramirez.

Aspen Ladd. It’s probably over for Ladd. At her level, to be outboxed by Daimoni tells you all you need to know about Ladd’s chances in bare knuckles.

Roberto Duran Jr. This ended almost before it began with Spivey injuring his rght knee.

Keegan Vandermeer. The KO of the night in my book and a much-needed victory for Vandermeer.

Kylle McMillan. This was a huge surprise. BKB folks came into this one high on Leu-Pierre, but McMillan upset the apple cart and has some interesting options available to him.

Murat Kilimetov. Kilimetov is another potential matchup for Sparks or perhaps even Trujillo. He detonated a right hand on Bull to make one of my top 10 KOs of the night.

Rudisel Mora. I can’t tell you what Rosales was doing in this one. He complained of a shot to the back of the head, but he just looked overwhelmed overall.
