Boxing Legend Lennox Lewis Makes His Pick for Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul Fight
Sipa USA

The long-awaited Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul boxing matchup is days away with the main card scheduled to begin streaming at 8 p.m. ET this Friday on Netflix.

The fight will pit the 58-year-old former heavyweight champion and global icon Tyson against the 27-year-old YouTube star turned boxer Paul at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, home of the NFL's Cowboys.

The many variables and unknowns surrounding the matchup did not matter one iota to boxing legend Lennox Lewis, a former opponent of Tyson's who shared his thoughts on the fight recently.

Lewis defeated Tyson for the heavyweight crown in 2002, stopping him in the eighth round. He said he's been watching Tyson's training clips lately, adding that the man known as 'Iron Mike' "still has it."

"I think it's going to be a good fight," Lewis said. "Mike Tyson does what he does, he's two dimensional, he's going to come at you and try and knock you out.

"Now you have to try and stay away from him and his power. I saw him working out the other day and he throws some good combinations. Those six-punch combinations, Paul has to make sure he's not in the way of those punches cause Tyson's a real fighter."

"Tyson still has it, he can throw throw a punch, he can take a punch, so he's doing something he's used to," Lewis added.

"Mike Tyson's gonna win."
