One of the most discussed welterweight champions on social media (Good & Bad) will make another title defense, but this time in the land of the rising son.
Undefeated WBO welterweight champion Brian Norman Jr. (27-0, 21 KOs) will face top contender Jin Sasaki(19-1-1, 17 KOs) at the Ota-City General Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan. The fight will stream live on ESPN+ on Thursday early morning.
The champion Norman is fresh off his first title defense in March when he stopped Derrieck Cuevas in the third round of their fight. This fight against Sasaki is a quick turnaround, which is good for Norman, who was out of the ring 10 months before making his first title defense.
This will also be the second fight in 2025 for Sasaki, who scored a unanimous decision over Shoki Sakai in January. For Sasaki, the Norman fight will be the biggest name on his resume, so we shall see how he performs on Thursday morning.
Per DraftKings SportsBook, Brian Norman Jr. is the favorite at -400, and Jin Sasaki is the underdog at +290.
These timings could change due to the length of the undercard fights.
