Australian fight fans will be treated to an intriguing super-welterweight clash as Brock Jarvis meets Ken Aitken over eight rounds on the Liam Paro vs David Papot undercard.

Brock Jarvis (23-2, 21 KO’s) is a name familiar to most followers of the Australian boxing scene. A long-time student of Jeff Fenech, Jarvis has built his career on an aggressive style, high output, and a reputation as a heavy puncher across multiple weight divisions.

Ken Aitken (11-2, 3 KO’s) is a lesser known name but far from a novice. With an 11-2 record, he has been steadily climbing the domestic ranks. Though not a noted puncher, Aitken is compact, technically sound, and enters this bout on a two-fight winning streak.

Brock Jarvis vs Ken Aitken: Analysis

With 18 of Jarvis’ 23 wins coming by knockout, he has shown a knack for ending fights early when his rhythm clicks. His two career defeats, however, revealed vulnerabilities: he can be caught when exchanging and has occasionally struggled with defensive discipline against durable opponents.

Aitken’s lack of big-fight experience will be a factor, but his durability and disciplined approach could test Jarvis if the favourite does not impose himself quickly.

The path to victory for Jarvis is straightforward; he must start fast, apply pressure, and let his power shots dictate the pace. If he can cut off the ring and get Aitken into exchanges, his higher volume and heavier hands should overwhelm the underdog.

Aitken will need to be measured in this one by staying behind a stiff jab and pick his moments perfectly when to open up.

Jarvis vs Aitken: Prediction & Betting Tips

I expect Jarvis to assert himself early and look for openings to close the show. Aitken is durable enough to survive the initial storm, but the favourite’s power and pressure should eventually break him down. The only way I can see him struggling is if he gets hit with some stiff jabs from Aitken and becomes hesitant. Which I highly doubt will happen; Jarvis only knows how to fight one way.

Jarvis by stoppage in the first half of the fight looks the most realistic outcome to me in this one. Though I would not be shocked to see Aitken frustrate him enough to grind the fight down to the final bell.

I’m taking Brock Jarvis moneyline at odds of 1.36. I’m also including this in a double with Paulo Aokuso to beat Shukhrat Abdullaev which gives the odds of 1.77.
