Canelo Alvarez is superior in one aspect to every other fighter on the planet, according to a retired boxer.

On September 13, the heavy hitter will go head-to-head with Terence Crawford in a battle of pound-for-pound superstars.

While smaller, ‘Bud’ is undoubtedly one of the most skillful operators that the face of the sport will have fought, with Canelo admitting there is something about Crawford that worries him.

However, one gifted athlete believes there’s little chance the power puncher will get knocked out.

Canelo Alvarez has the best chin in boxing, according to Chris Algieri

Chris Algieri believes Canelo Alvarez has proven his toughness beyond doubt.

The former WBO light welterweight champion claims nobody in boxing has a better chin than Canelo Alvarez, meaning it’s unlikely Terence Crawford will get the finish.

In an episode of Boxing Scene Today, he said: “Canelo has possibly the best chin in boxing.

“The guy spent 36 rounds with Gennadiy Golovkin , who’s a killer puncher. He took the best shot from Daniel Jacobs who’s a very good puncher. He took the best shots from Sergey Kovalev at 175lbs.

“And he took the best shots from Dmitry Bivol at 175lbs. As much as he was disarmed by Bivol and his abilities, he never seemed really hurt or in danger of being stopped during the fight.

“So, in terms of durability, that’s not going away for Canelo, the guy is a tank.”

Terence Crawford poses one serious problem to Canelo Alvarez, according to a legend

While Canelo is tough, that doesn’t make him invincible.

One legend has opened up about the fight at the weekend.

This icon claims Canelo will struggle with one thing about Crawford.
