We have finally arrived at fight week for what is being billed as the “Fight of the Century” by Netflix, Zuffa Boxing, and Riyadh Season.
The undisputed super middleweight champion Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez (63-2-2, 39 KOs) will be defending his titles against the undefeated pound-4-pound fighter Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford (41-0, 31 KOs) in a scheduled 12-round bout live on Netflix from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, NV.
This fight week will be like no other, with everything more extravagant and twice as many people paying attention than usual. Although fans have wondered if commercial media outlets will be posting about the fight, normally, the crossover media coverage begins on fight week, so I expect that to kick off as early as Monday morning.
With regard to the fight itself, the picks and opinions of what could potentially happen will be coming in throughout the week in droves, so brace yourself. FightsATW will bring you that, but also some unique approaches to the fight week storylines, so stay tuned.
Per DraftKings SportsBook, Canelo Alvarez is the favorite at -180, and Terence Crawford is the underdog at +145.
Canelo Alvarez: TKO/KO +380; Decision +115
Draw: +1600
Terence Crawford : TKO/KO +850; Decision +210
These timings could change due to the length of the undercard fights.
