Their reunion during the buildup to their first fight became one of boxing’s most memorable viral moments of 2025, with cameras capturing the father-son duo arriving together at the stadium after years of estrangement.

A Relationship Rekindled at the Perfect Time

Chris Eubank Sr., the 59-year-old two-weight world champion. Had publicly opposed the first fight, pleading for his son to avoid the Benn bout altogether. The pair had reportedly not spoken for years after being inseparable during Eubank Jr.’s early career.

“My dad gave me those extra few percentages in the first fight. When I needed to push through those last few rounds,” Eubank Jr. said. “Knowing that my old man is there and he’s showing up, that gives you that little bit of extra pump, that little bit of extra oomph to stay in there and get the job done.”

Training Camp Continues in Dubai

Despite his father’s return to ringside. Eubank Jr. confirmed that his training camp remains in Dubai, and that Eubank Sr. will not play any official role in his preparation.

He hasn’t been doing that for a long time, so that’s not going to all of a sudden change. I have my team, I have my foundation, I have my training methods and I’m going to stick to that.”

The 36-year-old middleweight (35-3, 25 KOs) has appeared rejuvenated under his current setup. But still draws spiritual strength from his father’s presence — even if their working relationship remains distant.
