Conor Benn’s Popularity Declining Rapidly

Conor Benn’s reputation continues deteriorating despite his determined performance against Chris Eubank Jr. 

Benn suffered the first career loss as Eubank secured a unanimous decision win. Benn was already an unpopular figure entering the fight based on the build-up. He had failed VADA tests for Clomiphene, which prevented the 2022 fight from initially happening. Benn has not disclosed to the public the reasons why he has been cleared. And yet, he continuously insists on saying that he was allowed to box without any transparency being provided. 

Benn’s Problem

The fans are unaware of whether there was Clomiphene in his system and how it got there. Eubank Jr. has confirmed that he does not respect Benn, as their relationship will never be cordial until Benn comes clean over the exact circumstances as to what had happened. Benn recently mocked Eubank by spending the fine he had received when Chris missed weight on a Rolls Royce and private jet.

That was his sole victory from the fight, where he ultimately failed to beat someone who was considered weight-drained. Eubank failed to make the 160-pound weight limit, while he also had to abide by a 10-pound rehydration clause. Benn is desperate to secure a rematch, but Eubank holds all the cards. Benn has also been criticized for coming across as arrogant.

“Contractually, that is what is on paper. It’s very likely that fight will happen again at some point this year. I want what the fans want. If the fans want to see it next, who am I to say no?” he added. “The demand for this Conor Benn fight is at an all-time high right now so I feel like that would be the fight to make next,” Eubank stated

His team peddled the narrative that Eubank had broken his jaw, when, in reality, he had just gone to hospital as part of a routine checkup. Benn also continues to claim that he had won the fight when the CompuBox numbers proved that Eubank had outlanded him as he was a superior fighter. And the social media comments show that Benn’s popularity is decreasing.
