Dave Allen thrashed Johnny Fisher, scoring a devastating knockout win on Saturday night, clearing any doubt after their contentious first showdown.

The clash occurred five months after Fisher barely beat Allen on points in Saudi Arabia.

Allen, 33, was the underdog again, though he was in top spirits at the weigh-in. The athlete sported his face on his pants, weighing 18st 13lb.

"I am going to get going earlier this time. I've come in heavier. I've come to get the job done inside the distance," said Allen in a pre-fight interview.

Last December, Fisher narrowly escaped a shock knockdown in round five to emerge victorious in a widely disputed verdict against his friend, remaining undefeated.

However, the criticism of the scoring compelled Fisher, 26, to file for an immediate rematch with his friend, 33, in an effort to put things right. Thus, the duo traded Saudi Arabia, the scene of their first clash, for London’s Copper Box Arena on Saturday.

While on the ring, Allen again did not disappoint. He dropped Fisher in round five, subjecting the “Romford Bull” down twice in a row. The second knockdown came on the bell, due to a brutal left hook, as Fisher faceplanted while the towel dropped.

Fisher was 17st, 7lb, and was targeting to advance his 13-0 flawless record at the Copper Box Arena.

Fisher was knocked down for the first time in his boxing career by Allen when the pair met for the first time, yet was given a split decision victory on the scorecards.

Elsewhere, in the undercard fights, Jimmy Sains obtained his first professional belt, outscoring a durable Gideon Onyenani to attain the Southern Area Crown.

Further, Kieron Conway defended his British alongside Commonwealth belt in an unequivocal fashion, compelling the corner of Gerome Warburton to surrender in the fourth round.
