The lightweight division has a new WBO world champion, and his name is Keyshawn Davis (13-0, 9 KOs).
After a fight week full of drama and racist acts, Davis wasted no time stopping Denys Berinchyk (19-1, 9 KOs) in the fourth round by knockout. Although the fight itself was filled with a ton of holding, Davis was able to sneak in some power shots, with the left hook to the body being the one that ended the fight.

It was a weird first round as Berinchyk kept moving around while Davis flicked the left jab from time to time. Berinchyk would only commit to coming inside when he could hold. Not many punches were thrown by both men throughout the round. Davis opened up in the second round and made an adjustment, which allowed him to land a check right uppercut. Davis also took a step back and landed a hard right hand whenever Berinchyk came charging in. Berinchyk didn’t land much offense as he used his feet more than throwing punches.
In the third round, Davis began aggressive and when he landed a left hook to the body, Berinchyk was hurt instantly and went down. Berinchyk got back up, but Davis was on him throughout the round with left hooks to the body and straight right hands. In the fourth round, Davis landed a left hook to the body of Berinchyk which sent him down and out. Berinchyk could not beat the ten count and Davis earned the knockout victory.
