Devin Haney has called Keyshawn Davis ‘a fraud’ after a fresh clip sparked controversy between the two.
Davis had repeatedly called out Haney following his win over Jamaine Ortiz, positioning himself for a high-profile clash.
But a newly surfaced video has now cast doubt on that stance and triggered a sharp response from ‘The Dream’.
Haney did not hold back after watching a video in which ‘The Businessman’ admitted he had been speaking directly with Romero recently.
The post was shared alongside footage of Davis saying: “I have Haney-Romero a 50/50 fight. I’ve talking to Rolly on the phone, and I know how serious he is!”
‘The Dream’ then wrote on X: “Lol dude a fraud.. fake calling me out but talking on the phone to Rolly. So he know for a fact me & Rolly are in negotiations. Admitted once he was calling me out for clout. He just running the same play”
That contrast has raised questions around Davis’ intentions. While he had been calling out Haney in public, his private conversations suggest awareness of ongoing negotiations.
With Haney moving towards a fight with Romero, Davis appears to be adjusting his focus.
Following his viral nightclub stare-off with Ryan Garcia, which quickly spread online, the possibility of a different matchup has emerged. The moment added fuel to speculation, even if no immediate fight is expected.
Davis has since indicated he is open to new opportunities.
“I’m willing to fight anybody, honestly. So maybe [I would fight Garcia]. It just takes two to tango,” he told DAZN.
