Devin Haney has said he will face Shakur Stevenson at 145 pounds in December, instead at 147 while still insisting on no rehydration clause.
"Let's do this 145 no rehydration clause @ShakurStevenson.. let's see who's the real p****! December.. 2026 InshaAllah," Haney
The concession only goes so far. Stevenson's complaint has been about the size of the fighter he'd face on fight night, and without a cap on rehydration, Haney could still gain back a lot of weight after the weigh-in. Haney now has something to point to as proof he's trying to make the fight, while Stevenson has a specific offer to answer.
With a December date in play, both camps would need to agree terms soon to leave time to build the event and prepare.
