Fury Still Haunted By Usyk Losses – ‘I Beat Him, The World Knows The Truth’

Tyson Fury is suffering from the Oleksandr Usyk defeats, as The Gypsy King still believes he won their two fights.

Fury retired from the sport after suffering back to back losses as he ended his career on a negative note. He lost the first Usyk fight on a split decision, as he missed out on becoming the first Undisputed Heavyweight Champion since Lennox Lewis in 1999. Most of the boxing community felt that Usyk had won a unanimous decision, as the CompuBox numbers also backed this up.

Fury struggled to deal with the first loss, as he was pictured getting drunk outside of a nightclub, after which he was evicted by security. While Fury’s camp downplayed that heading into the rematch, it did show that Fury was struggling with his first loss. He even claimed he re-watched the fight and believed he had beaten Usyk. This was damning, especially since the AI scoring also had Usyk coming out on top.

Usyk Vs. Fury 3

Fury used that as motivation for the rematch, as he was adamant that he would reverse the result. However, he came up short once again, as Usyk won a unanimous decision. The Gypsy King refused to accept the result as he announced his retirement. Usyk is currently preparing to face Daniel Dubois for the chance to become undisputed at heavyweight for the second time.

The Ukrainian has said that he wants to have two more fights, leaving one left after Dubois. He named Anthony Joshua and Fury as possible opponents. When Usyk was asked who he would prefer from the two, he went for Fury. Fury was recently seen training with his long-term coach: SugarHill Steward. This has created speculation that he will come out of retirement as he looks to secure a big fight. Fury reacted to Usyk’s comments, suggesting that a trilogy could follow.

“For my last fight, I have two options. Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury. [I prefer] Tyson Fury,” Usyk said

“Beat the f----- 2 times the world knows the truth. Any time, any place. UK next time 100k people,” Fury said
