GERVONTA ‘TANK’ DAVIS VS FRANK MARTIN LIVE ROUND BY ROUND UPDATES & SCORING

Round 1: Martin was the more active fighter in the first round with his consistent right jab. Davis kept his high guard and didn’t throw many punches. Martin was the busier fighter in the opening round.

Score: 10-9 Martin

Round 2: Martin did a great job using his footwork to keep the distance outside of mid-range. He kept pumping the right jab while Tank kept the high guard. Davis landed a big right uppercut to the chest of Martin that caught his attention but it did not hurt Martin.

Score: 10-9 Martin

Round 3: Davis started to apply a ton of pressure but in one of the series, he lunged forward and Martin caught Davis with a counter left hook. Martin would then use his feet to get out of trouble and land a three punch combination which landed flush on Davis.

Score: 10-9 Martin

Round 4: Although Martin kept the pressure on Davis with the right jab and counter left hook, Davis landed the more eye catching shots in the fourth round. One of those was a left hook which appeared to stun Martin a bit.

Score: 10-9 Davis

Round 5: Davis landed some big right uppercuts and left hooks in this round but Martin, again, used his footwork to get out of trouble and landed some clean counter punches while Davis kept following him around the ring.

Score: 10-9 Martin

Round 6: Davis stalked Martin throughout the round and landed some big overhand lefts while Martin would Perry some of them and would escape the corner with his footwork. Davis’s right cheek began to swell.

Score: 10-9 Davis

Round 7: Davis went into beast mode and started to apply a ton of pressure while throwing some huge left hooks and check right hands. Although Davis dominated the round, he ran into a counter left hand by Martin that buzzed Davis and stopped him in his tracks.

Score: 10-9 Davis

Round 8: Davis Lands a huge left uppercut and then a left hook and knocks out Frank Martin.
