’He’s Going to Feel It’: Anthony Cacace Warns Josh Warrington of Brutal Power Ahead of September 21

On September 21, Anthony Joshua (28-3, 25 KOs) will collide with Daniel Dubois (21-2, 20 KOs) for the IBF world heavyweight title in the main event of a Riyadh Season card at Wembley Stadium. On the undercard, Anthony Cacace (22-1, 8 KOs) will take on Josh Warrington (31-3-1, 8 KOs) for the IBF and IBO super featherweight titles, while Liam Gallagher will also perform for the 90,000+ crowd in London. Ahead of Cacace-Warrington, the Belfast-born fighter has sent a warning to his Leeds rival.

Cacace Spells It Out for Warrington

Ahead of Cacace-Warrington, the Belfast-born fighter is seemingly confident his power will make the difference when he faces the experienced Warrington. Cacace was in brutal form when last seen on May 18 on the Ring of Fire undercard, when he stopped Joe Cordina in the eighth round, and it was evident then the serious power the Belfast man carries.

Josh Warrington is coming into this fight on the back of a loss to Leigh Wood – when he was suddenly stopped in round seven after boxing well for the first half of the contest.

Despite the obvious experience Warrington brings to the contest, Cacace is confident in his power when speaking to Queensberry, he said: “I don’t know how he feels about the power, but I know that I’m heavy-handed.”

He continued: “Probably one of the heaviest in the division. Josh will have to respect it because he’s going to be feeling it in a couple of weeks’ time.”

Cacace spoke about his desire to be victorious on September 21: “I’m at the stage of my career where I’ll die in there trying to win this fight. Josh is confident and he’s never been beaten by an Irish fighter. Maybe this is his first time.”
