The boxing world continues to present memorable bouts, such as Terence Crawford defeating Canelo Alvarez, and now the first two press conferences for the November 14 exhibition between Jake Paul and Gervonta Davis have taken place.
“El Gallo” has been previously linked with a fight against Canelo, and when speaking to Fight Hub TV, Paul discussed the Crawford vs Canelo bout, and how he now sees his chances against the Mexican.
When asked what he thought of Canelo’s recent performance against Terence Crawford and if he’s losing interest from fight fans:
“I mean, he’s still an amazing fighter. I think Terence Crawford is just that incredible. I think he’s probably one of the best fighters we’ve ever seen in the ring, period, so credit to Terence.
“He showed up, showed out at a higher weight class, but Terence is just that guy right now,” said Paul.
“El Gallo” was then asked if Canelo’s defeat to Crawford has made him more confident he could beat the Mexican, should they meet: “Yeah. I mean, absolutely. I’ve always believed in myself in the fight against Canelo and sparring.
“Some of the people that he’s fought against and knowing what I’m capable of in the ring, and seeing what they do, I know that I can beat Canelo Alvarez, and everyone’s always said it as a joke or this and that, but it’s going to happen.”
