Jake Paul is recovering after suffering the first knockout loss of his 12-2 boxing career.

In Miami, Florida, on Friday night, Anthony Joshua fought Paul and broke his jaw in two places.

Hours after his sixth-round stoppage defeat to the former two-time heavyweight world champion, he underwent surgery.

But Nakisa Bidarian, the YouTuber-turned-boxer’s business partner, has downplayed what initially appeared to be a serious injury.

Paul’s recovery plan was outlined on Monday during Nakisa Bidarian’s appearance with Ariel Helwani.

The Most Valuable Promotions co-founder said that Paul’s broken jaw should be healed within a few weeks.

“He’s doing great,” Bidarian said.

He added: “Obviously, there are periods of time during the day where there’s a lot of pain. Periods of time where there is no pain, actually.

“The recovery process is five to six weeks. And he’s focused on coming back to boxing in 2026.

“I don’t view a broken jaw as career-ending or defining.

“In MMA, [Junior] dos Santos broke his jaw, had plates put in, came back and became champion after that,” Bidarian concluded.

Bidarian responds to fight-fixing accusations

Fight-fixing claims have been around ‘The Problem Child’ since he first stepped into the ring.

But now, Paul’s promoter is taking action against those spreading false information.

When Helwani asked if the surgery-inducing knockout loss was enough to silence conspiracy theories, Bidarian responded: “No, actually I don’t. Our lawyers are actively going after a number of people.

“One in particular was claiming to be a lawyer online. I don’t remember the handle, but it had something like 200,000 likes. Basically, this post said there was an agreement for ‘AJ’ not to knock out Jake, but ‘AJ’ disregarded the agreement and decided not to get his payday and knock out Jake.”

Bidarian went on: “It’s pretty astonishing what people say… Lou DiBella, I saw him put up a bunch of ridiculous things and even said ‘Nakisa, go ahead and sue me, but this wasn’t a real fight, he was pulling punches, he wasn’t giving it his full effort’.”
