A pro heavyweight boxing match between Jake Paul and Anthony Joshua will take place on December 19th live on Netflix from the Kaseya Center in Miami.
The finalization of the fight follows after Paul’s original opponent, Gervonta Davis, was forced to withdraw from their November 14th bout. Davis’ ex-girlfriend filed a civil lawsuit, alleging battery, false imprisonment, and kidnapping. Now, Joshua gets the chance to earn a massive payday. It is a bout scheduled for eight, three-minute rounds. They will also wear 10-ounce gloves.
Paul has boxed at heavyweight, having weighed 227.25 pounds for his victory over Mike Tyson in 2024. However, he boxes mostly as a cruiserweight. Meanwhile, Joshua is a fully fledged heavyweight, having weighed 256 pounds. Paul is coming off a Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. win in June, while Joshua was knocked out by Daniel Dubois in September 2024.
