After pocketing a big payday following his clash with Mike Tyson in 2024, Jake Paul has purchased “Southlands,” a 5,746-acre tract in Decatur County.

Paul explained that the vast majority of the funds came directly from his Netflix-partnered bout with Tyson, as he paid a reported $39 million. The property has a two-mile circuit for ATVs and karts—touted as the premier private track in the world—and extensive water features, including 4.5 miles of Lake Seminole shoreline and a 20-acre fishing lake.

Beyond the eight-bedroom central lodge and various guest residences, Paul is currently expanding the estate to include a custom boxing facility, a private landing strip for planes, and a dedicated shooting range, all tucked away behind a three-and-a-half-mile gated driveway.

This transition comes after Paul’s loss to Anthony Joshua, who delivered a sixth-round knockout that left Paul with a double jaw fracture. The injury was so extensive that surgeons had to install four titanium plates.

Consequently, the Florida Athletic Commission has placed him on an indefinite medical hold, barring him from any combat sports until he is fully healed. And yet, Jake has already floated the idea of a future heavyweight showdown with Francis Ngannou. For now, however, Paul seems content to focus on his rehabilitation within the seclusion of his new home.

Paul Reacts

“I built this place for me, my friends, business partners and for you guys to all experience and I want you guys to go on this journey with me. This is going to be the best barn gym when it’s done. It’s rustic, it’s got that old school look. There’s a ring in the back where I’m sparring all of the time. “There were a couple of things that I needed to be able to do on this dream investment property of mine.

“And that is be on a lake where you can wake surf, jet skis, go crazy. I also want to build an airstrip so it needed to have flat land to be able to land a full-size jet and also to build a racetrack. A lot of properties in certain places like Tennessee, all these things have too many valleys there’s not enough flat land.

“And then I didn’t want it to ever get cold. I had been to my brother’s ranch that he has and the weather changes every minute because it’s in the mountains a lot of these months have six months of winter. I wanted to be able to come to this property all year round and have good weather,” Paul said
