Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis (35-0, 31 KOs) scored a first-round knockout in his debut fight at the junior middleweight division in front of family and friends at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA, on DAZN.

Ennis made quick work of Uisma Lima (14-2, 10 KOs), who had never been stopped in his 15-fight career. During the post-fight in-ring interview, Ennis clearly stated that he wants to fight Vergil Ortiz Jr. next, and if Ortiz beats Lubin, we should expect that fight in 2026.

In the opening round, Ennis switched from conventional to southpaw and landed a right uppercut that instantly hurt Lima. Then Ennis landed a right hook, which sent Lima down for the first time in the fight. Lima would get up, but was on very shaky legs, and Ennis jumped all over him. Ennis would then land another right hook, sending Lima down for the second time. Lima got up again, but once the referee let it continue, Ennis bombarded him with punches, prompting the referee to stop the fight.

Ennis stops Lima as expected, which hopefully means 2026 will finally be the moment when Ennis starts facing A-Side-level competition.

Jaron Ennis vs. Uisma Lima Undercard Results

Guido Vianello (14-3-1, 12 KOs) scored a shocking fifth round knockout over Alexis Barriere (12-1, 10 KOs). This was supposed to be a step up fight for Barriere but instead, he knocked out by the more seasoned Vianello.

Tahmir Smalls (16-0, 11 KOs) earned a unanimous decision over Jose Roman (14-2, 6 KOs). The judges saw this one 98-91, 96-93, and 95-94 for Smalls in what was a close, competitive fight.

Dennis Thompson (8-0, 5 KOs) scored a split decision over Sean Diaz (9-1, 2 KOs). It was the DAZN opener, and both fighters emptied the tank for every part of this six-round fight. In the end, the three judges saw this one 60-53 for Thompson, 57-56 for Diaz, and 57-56 for Thompson, as he wins a fight that wasn’t as close as what the judges had it.
