Jorge Masvidal (1-0, 0 KOs) will face fellow UFC legend Nate Diaz (0-1, 0 KOs) at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. The entire card will be shown live on DAZN and Fanmio PPV. The two fighters have a history having met at UFC 244, with Masvidal the victor, with the cageside doctor stopping the fight before round three. Despite the upcoming challenge, “Gamebred” has revealed what two boxers he would like to face next.
Masvidal is clearly focused on making the most of this new opportunity in boxing, with this bout being his first venture into boxing since a 2006 victory over Joseph Benjamin. Diaz, with a decorated UFC career, had his first boxing fight against Jake Paul, where he was dropped and defeated by unanimous decision, with the judges scorecards reading 97-92 and 98-91 x 2.
Masvidal spoke about his boxing career while appearing on the Michael Bisping Podcast: “I want to get the biggest fights possible.”
He continued: “I wouldn’t mind a fight with Logan and just breaking all the pay-per-view records and having more time to box… And then go after Mayweather.”
Fights against Logan Paul and Floyd Mayweather will certainly be financially rewarding for the UFC star, with Mayweather himself, having fought Logan, while also stopping Conor McGregor in round 10 of their massive crossover fight in 2017.
