On Saturday, June 7 at the Scope Arena in Norfolk, Keyshawn Davis vs Edwin De Los Santos will headline a Top Rank Promotions card live on ESPN+. Davis will be defending the WBO lightweight world title he won emphatically against Denys Berinchyk.

Davis (13-0, 9 KOs) enjoyed an impressive amateur career and has adapted well to the professional ranks, winning his world title in just his 13th bout. De Los Santos (16-2, 14 KOs) has not fought, since losing to Shakur Stevenson in 2023, but was considered a difficult opponent before that.

“The Businessman” will undoubtedly start as the big favourite, and will have been earmarked for bigger fights, but De Los Santos is an awkward opponent who carries plenty of power.

Packers HC bothered by rookie's 'unacceptable' behavior during preseason game

Green Bay Packers right tackle Anthony Belton had a forgettable first half against the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday when he committed five penalties in the first half. The rookie was called for a false start, two illegal formation penalties, a face mask and unnecessary roughness. Packers head coach Matt LaFleur was peeved by the unnecessary roughness penalty, which the second-round pick was called for when he pushed Colts cornerback Johnathan Edwards from behind after the play. Per Matt Schneidman of The Athletic, LaFleur "let Belton have it" at halftime. Following the game, LaFleur explained to the media why that behavior bothers him — it hurts the team. “That’s the one that really bothers me because that is — I mean, they all bother me — but you can’t be getting personal fouls because that really hurts the team, puts you in a really tough position,” LaFleur said. “That is completely unacceptable in my mind. I appreciate the effort that he plays with and I thought he did a really nice job … I love the effort. It’s just, you got to be smart in those situations.” Belton's penalties were costly for the Packers. One of the illegal formation flags took away what would have been a touchdown pass from quarterback Taylor Elgersma to tight end Ben Sims. The 15-yard penalty on the unnecessary roughness call turned a manageable 3rd-and-5 into a 3rd-and-20. Saturday's preseason game is a learning experience for the 2023 third-team All-ACC offensive lineman. The Packers can't have Belton on the field if he's going to commit that many penalties, and the unnecessary roughness mistake would have been easy to avoid.

Dallas Cowboys' top-rated players for NFL preseason Week 2 vs. Ravens

A 31-13 loss to the Baltimore Ravens dropped the Dallas Cowboys to 0-2 this preseason. While the records don't matter, it's still unsettling to see the Cowboys lose a game in such fashion. As was the case in their Week 1 loss to the Los Angeles Rams, the Cowboys were bullied at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. They also saw quarterback Joe Milton III continue to struggle with accuracy. The good news, however, was that several players stood out with solid individual play. Here's a look at which Cowboys graded the highest on offense and defense, according to PFF. Cowboys top-5 rated players on offense Princeton Fant, TE (83.4) Malik Davis, RB (74.6) Jonathan Mingo, WR (70.3) Deuce Vaughn, RB (67.1) John Stephens Jr., TE (66.2) The offense was responsible for just six points, but there were still some bright spots. Princeton Fant had a 33-yard reception and held his own in blocking. Malik Davis showed some burst when he was on the field, and Jonathan Mingo had an excellent catch to set up a field goal. Unfortunately, Mingo was injured on the play but has been one of the bright spots throughout the offseason. Cowboys top-5 rated players on defense Andrew Booth, CB (91.8) Troy Pride Jr., CB (83.8) Jack Sanborn, LB (79.2) Earnest Brown IV, DT (76.7) Kemon Hall, CB (75.6) Andrew Booth not only led the way on defense, but was the highest-graded player on the team. Two other cornerbacks, Troy Pride Jr. and Kemon Hall, made it into the top five as well. Linebacker Jack Sanborn and defensive tackle Earnest Brown IV were there as well. Sanborn had three tackles while Brown recorded two. —

Celtics new starting center shows glimpse of what's to come

Earlier this summer, the Boston Celtics parted with the entirety of their center rotation for the 2024-25 season. They traded away Kristaps Porzingis and allowed Luke Kornet to leave via free agency, and while Al Horford is yet to sign with a new team, he isn't expected to return to Boston. With three bigs leaving in the same summer, Neemias Queta appears to have jumped from being the fourth-string big last season into the starting center role for the 2025-26 NBA season. And as the franchise is in a retooling year, it will likely try to develop the 7-foot rim-runner. Fortunately for Celtics fans, they're going to get a solid look at how Queta deals with starter-level minutes against high-level opponents in the coming weeks. The 26-year-old big man is with the Portuguese national team, where he will likely anchor the middle of the floor throughout the FIBA EuroBasket tournament. On Friday, Queta suited up against Iceland as part of Portugal's warmup schedule. He earned 14 minutes of playing time and quickly filled the box score, ending the contest with 12 points, six rebounds, one assist and one block. Queta has shown flashes of his upside since joining the Celtics. He played in 62 games last season despite being fourth on the depth chart. He's already proven that he's capable of making an impact against NBA-level opposition. However, there's a difference between earning some spot starts or making a splash against second units and to being a full-time starter. Queta will undoubtedly find himself working through a new learning experience, especially deep into the season, when games start to come at you fast. Fortunately for Queta and Celtics fans, the EuroBasket tournament will serve as a reliable proving ground. He will face some of the best bigs in the world this summer and could quickly squash any concerns Boston's fanbase may have. And with that in mind, Celtics fans will likely hope that Queta's performance against Iceland was a sign of things to come.

Castoff QB continues to prove himself during preseason

The Miami Dolphins are going to go as far as Tua Tagovailoa can take them, but it was Miami's other veteran quarterback who impressed on Saturday. Although rookie Quinn Ewers will grab most of the headlines, Zach Wilson put together another solid preseason performance as he hopes to revive his career with the Dolphins. A week after accounting for 112 yards against Chicago, Wilson scored his first touchdown of the preseason in Detroit. The former second overall pick by the New York Jets in the 2021 NFL Draft completed 15-of-23 passes for 151 yards and a touchdown pass. Wilson has completed 62.5% of his passes through two preseason games. Still only 26, Wilson signed a one-year $6 million deal with the Dolphins in January after spending 2024 with the Broncos. Wilson struggled mightily during his first two seasons in New York, throwing 18 interceptions in 22 games played. The Jets were 8-14 with Wilson under center. While Wilson did show some signs of promise when forced into action after Aaron Rodgers suffered a season-ending injury in Week 1, he was never consistent enough for the Jets to feel comfortable handing him the keys to the franchise. Wilson started 11 games in 2023, going 4-7 with 2,271 passing yards and 211 yards on the ground. He improved his competition percentage from 54.5 in 2022 to 60.1 and posted a positive touchdown-to-interception ratio for the first time in his career. However, the Jets still gave up on Wilson just three years after drafting him and traded him in April of 2024. Even though Dolphins fans are hoping Tagovailoa can stay healthy, which would then ensure Wilson stays on the sidelines holding a clipboard, the former BYU star has been doing all he can to show he's developed into a capable NFL quarterback.
