Tommy Fury appears to be on the verge of a return to boxing, with talks now underway between his management and Misfits Boxing, with a potential rematch against KSI looming.
Mams Taylor, co-founder of Misfits, confirmed the discussions while hinting at a potential fight for Fury, who has not competed since his controversial victory over KSI in October 2023.
"(Boxing promoter) Kalle (Sauerland) is speaking with Tommy's team today," Taylor told The Sun. "I'm not sure exactly what's going on with that.
"I'd love to see Tommy in a Misfits ring. Honestly, I think the fight between Darren and Tommy would have been fantastic to set up the winner of that against KSI down the line as well."
Fury was initially scheduled to face former UFC star Darren Till in January, but the fight never materialized after Fury pulled out, citing threats from Till to kick him in the head.
Since then, Fury has remained inactive, recovering from hand surgery following his win over KSI.
Despite the layoff, Taylor believes Fury’s return would be a major attraction, with potential matchups still on the table.
"Darren, I'm very big on. I think he's an absolute pay-per-view star," Taylor said. "And listen, there aren't that many pay-per-view stars."
KSI, who also suffered an injury in their fight, is set to return to the ring on March 29 against Dillon Danis in Manchester.
With talks in motion and Fury looking for the right opponent, his return to boxing appears closer than ever, although that'd depend on whether or not he and KSI's management team can reach an agreement.
