On November 18, 2006, Manny Pacquiao battled it out with Erik Morales at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
The bout served as the culmination of their feud, with both men having previously beaten the other.
While Morales found some success in the opening round, ‘PacMan’ consistently beat him to the punch.
By the second, the southpaw was in his groove, dropping his opponent with a huge shot.
Showcasing his fighting spirit, the Mexican got back to his feet and started fighting fire with fire, but that only played into his opponent’s hands, with his rival knocking him down again with a fearsome blow.
Once again, Morales beat the count, but when Pacquiao sent him hurtling towards the canvas for a third time with a heavy left hand, the defeated fighter shook his head, prompting the referee to call a halt to the action.
At his peak, Pacquiao was nothing short of terrifying.
With dynamite in his hands, he was capable of destroying anybody he landed on.
And he proved that in abundance during an explosive encounter.
