Manny Pacquiao’s return to boxing isn’t limited to his in-ring comeback. The eight-division champion and 2025 International Boxing Hall of Fame inductee has officially launched Manny Pacquiao Promotions (MPP) in the United States.

“It is an honor to bring Manny Pacquiao Promotions to the U.S.,” Pacquiao said in a press release. “Some of my most unforgettable moments happened inside American rings. Now, I want to help create those same moments for today’s fighters.”

Building a New Power Player in Boxing

MPP, which formally launched in August, aims to quickly establish itself among the elite promotional outfits in combat sports. Pacquiao’s longtime advisor Sean Gibbons will serve as President of the company, while Tony Cohen steps in as CFO and Vice President, overseeing financial operations and spearheading development of an independent pay-per-view platform.

Brendan Gibbons has been named lead matchmaker, responsible for crafting competitive and marketable fights.

“MPP is committed to becoming the world’s leading boxing promotional company,” Sean Gibbons said. “We’re creating a new standard in fight promotion — and it all starts now.”

Events Already in Motion

According to the announcement, the company has two title fights and another significant bout scheduled for November, with additional fight cards expected to be revealed soon. The launch underscores Pacquiao’s vision of creating a platform that elevates both rising prospects and established stars.

Pacquiao’s In-Ring Future

Pacquiao (62-8-3, 39 KOs), who returned in July after a four-year hiatus, nearly made history at age 46 by fighting WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios (29-2-2, 18 KOs) to a majority draw. Had he secured the win, he would have become the second-oldest champion in boxing history.

Despite the grueling effort, Pacquiao confirmed he intends to fight again, though no date or opponent has been finalized. His dual role as fighter and promoter sets up a fascinating next chapter in a career already defined by unprecedented achievements.
