Manny Pacquiao will face Mario Barrios for the world title at the age of 46, but the main event isn’t the only must-see fight.
Manny Pacquiao hopes to win his 13th world title after having not fought since 2021, and not won since 2019.
The legendary Filipino fighter will return on July 19th, as part of a stacked card that will top off a huge day of boxing.
Elsewhere on the card, a legend’s son will take on a much-needed rematch after one fight of his turned into a bloody war.
On the card, Tim Tszyu, son of Kostya Tszyu, will rematch one of the super-welterweight division’s tallest fighters, Sebastian Fundora.
Fundora, who stands at 6’6″, faced Tszyu for the first time in 2024, in a fight many think Tszyu was unlucky not to win.
Tszyu sustained a cut early on that impaired his vision, turning Fundora vs Tszyu into one of the bloodiest wars boxing had seen for some time.
Tszyu dropped a split decision loss, and lost his WBO world title in the process.
After the defeat, Tszyu was blasted in three rounds by Bakhram Murtazaliev, who he challenged for the IBF title.
He has since had a win against Joey Spencer, whom he stopped in four rounds. Fundora, meanwhile, has had just one fight since, a four-round stoppage of Chordale Booker.
The pair will face off for Fundora’s WBC and WBO titles in the co-main event.
Fundora and Tszyu aren’t the only two fighters rematching on Pacquiao’s undercard, as former Gervonta Davis opponent, Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz, who stopped Yuriorkis Gamboa, will rematch Angel Fierro on the card too.
Cruz moved to 27-3-1 after defeating 23-2-2 Fierro in his last fight.
Though he won by a significant margin on the scorecards, the pair will rematch, though no title is on the line, with Cruz having lost his world title to Jose Valenzeula by split decision last year.
He won the title with an eighth-round TKO of Rolly Romero.
