At the Co-op Live Arena in Manchester, United Kingdom, Moses Itauma delivered the biggest statement of his young career, stopping Jermaine Franklin in emphatic fashion. Headlining Queensberry Promotions "Magnificent 7" event, the unbeaten southpaw continued his rapid rise in the heavyweight division with another knockout—this one carrying real weight.

Itauma dropped Franklin once in the third round and again in the fifth, sealing the finish with a sharp left uppercut that landed clean and unseen. The shot stunned Franklin instantly and sent him crashing to the canvas, marking the first time in his career he had been stopped. That alone makes this result stand out, considering Franklin had previously gone the distance with names like Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte.

The moment quickly went viral after a clip shared by IFL TV on X, capturing both the finish and the growing buzz around Itauma’s ceiling.

Speaking after the fight, Itauma stayed composed despite the milestone win. "Man, I'm happy to get the win, the Lord is good," he said. "I've done something that other British heavyweights that have gone on to achieve great things didn't do."

He also acknowledged the challenge Franklin brought, especially after extending the fight beyond his recent quick finishes. "I tried to knock him out in the first to second round, trying to win some few people some dough, but I just thought like, maybe not today, so I went back to the basics, switch it, go down to the body, down to the body and then the knockout just came," Itauma explained. "It's not the shots that you load up with, it's the shot that you don't see."

Itauma did not call out a next opponent following the win, keeping the focus on the performance rather than what comes next, but with another statement knockout on his résumé, his star continues to rise in the heavyweight division.
