Katie Taylor (23-1, 6 KOs) and Neeraj Goyat (18-4-2, 8 KOs) are confident that Mike Tyson (50-6-2, 44 KOs) will emerge victorious in his fight against Jake Paul (10-1, 7 KOs).

The unified lightweight and undisputed super lightweight champion is gearing up to defend her 140-pound titles in a rematch against Amanda Serrano (47-2-1, 31 KOs) at the Paul vs Tyson fight card. Meanwhile, Goyat will face Youtuber and comedian Whindersson Nunes at the same event. With barely a day remaining for the fight, Goyat and Taylor have made sizable bets while showing their support for Tyson.

“I love it. Hey, when I see dumb people saying dumb predictions, I just feel bad for them. At the end of the day, who wants to bet on it, huh,” Paul asked. He then proceeded to walk around the fighters, repeating his question, “Does anyone want to bet on it? I’m shaking hands, so how much do we want to bet on this?”

This was when Goyat shook hands with Paul by predicting Tyson’s victory. He was even willing to bet his property (worth well over $1 million, according to him) that Tyson would beat Paul during the fight. Bruce Carrington quickly followed suit by placing a $1 million bet on Tyson.

Meanwhile, a few fighters placed smaller bets on Tyson, while others expressed their disinterest in betting. Paul was heading back to his seat when he remembered that he had yet to pose the question to Taylor. “I forgot Katie Taylor back here,” he said. “How much you wanna bet? As much as you want. I’m not losing, no shot I am.”

“Well, do you want to bet your purse?” Taylor asked without skipping a beat. Paul shook hands on the bet without any hesitation. It sure looks like both Paul and Taylor are confident in their respective predictions for the fight, as they were willing to put their entire fight purses on the line.

“Biggest Purses In Sports History”

While both fighters have made major bets, it should also be mentioned that both Serrano and Taylor are making sizeable purses for the fight. So much so that they have been called the ‘Biggest purses’ in female boxing history.

While the official numbers aren’t out yet, according to reports in the Republic of Ireland, Tayor is set to cash in on a $5.9 million payday.

On the other hand, Serrano took to X to express her excitement about the fight purse. “Just for the Record, LADIES! Katie & I are making the biggest purses in the Sports History for female Boxing. We made the 1st single Million-dollar payday in our 1st fight on this one we both shattered that!” she wrote.
