After rumors swirled throughout social media that the mega fight on September 13 between undisputed super middleweight champion Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez (63-2-2, 39 KOs) and Terence Crawford (41-0, 31 KOs) would take place during the day, Netflix shut those rumors down by announcing the start time.

The event streaming live on Netflix will begin at 9 pm ET/ 6 pm PT with no additional cost attached for current and new subscribers. During one of his trendy “Clap Back Thursdays”, Golden Boy’s Founder & Chairman, Oscar De La Hoya, mentioned that he had heard the fight would take place during the day. The Minister and Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, Turki Alalshikh, would quickly address De La Hoya’s claim during the first Canelo-Crawford press conference in Riyadh. Alalshikh made a sarcastic comment towards De La Hoya that fell flat but ultimately would say that the event would not take place during the day. After that, things had been quiet on the official start time of the event until Netflix’s recent announcement.

Although the time of the main card has been announced, the preliminary show featuring the undercard fighters will likely stream on the UFC’s YouTube channel or UFC Fight Pass. Details of the undercard have yet to be released, with a little over 30 days remaining before the mega event takes place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, NV.
