Some fights don’t need trash talk or theatrics to feel important. O’Shaquie Foster vs Stephen Fulton is one of them.
O’Shaquie Foster (23-3, 12 KO’s) comes in as the WBC super-featherweight champion, and he’s earned that belt the hard way. Nothing about his rise has been easy. No hype machine, no promotional push, no early-career soft touches. He developed the old-fashioned way, sharpening tools, taking tough fights, and figuring out how to win at the top level through sheer ring IQ.
Stephen Fulton (23-1, 8 KO’s) meanwhile, comes into this fight with something to prove. Before the Naoya Inoue loss, he had a legitimate argument as the best super-bantamweight in the world. But losing to Inoue is certainly no embarrassment.

Watch Foster closely and you’ll see a fighter who understands space better than almost anybody in the division. He’s never rushed. He’s never flustered. He adjusts every round, sometimes every minute. If an opponent starts finding a rhythm, he breaks it. If they try to bully him, he steps around them. If they try to outbox him, he forces a slower, more tactical fight. He may not be a knockout artist, but he wins rounds clean, and against someone as technically sound as Stephen Fulton, that matters.
Fulton at his best is slick, efficient, and sharp behind the jab. But at super-featherweight, he won’t enjoy the same size and strength advantages he had at 122-pounds. He’ll need to be quicker, cleaner, and more active than we’ve seen him in a while.
This fight likely won’t be a brawl. It probably won’t be a highlight-reel affair either. It’s much more likely to be a 12-round chess match where both guys have stretches of success, where every round feels close, and where the man who controls the tempo and distance wins the night. The difference is that Foster has been operating at 130-pounds long enough to feel completely comfortable there.
Fulton can absolutely win this fight if he finds a rhythm early and keeps Foster reacting instead of leading. But that’s a hard thing to sustain against a champion who specialises in disrupting rhythm. It’s even harder when you’re coming off a damaging loss and jumping up a weight class.
My pick for this one is O’Shaquie Foster to win by decision or technical decision at odds of 2.50 .
