Rafael Espinoza, the WBO featherweight champion, defends his title against Arnold Khegai on November 15, as we preview this upcoming fight.

This will be Espinoza’s first fight in his home country of Mexico since July 2023. Espinoza makes his fourth defense of the title he claimed from Robeisy Ramirez. All three of the successful defenses have come inside the distance. His most recent win was a seventh-round knockout of Edward Vazquez in May. Meanwhile, Khegai has his first world title fight. He has won seven of his last eight bouts since losing to Stephen Fulton in January 2020.

Pre-Fight

“Rafael Espinoza is a unique talent, a 6-foot-1 featherweight with devastating knockout power in either hand. He is a dominant force, but I expect Arnold Khegai to be a formidable test. San Luis Potosí is a great fight town, and I’m thrilled that the Mexican fans will have an opportunity to see several future world champions in action on the undercard,” Bob Arum

“I’m happy and anxious to get back into the ring because it will be in my country, with my people. I want to display new tools from my arsenal. I know Arnold Khegai is strong, but that’s motivating me to keep demonstrating that I am ready for big things. I can’t wait for the support from the Mexican fans,” Espinoza

“When my team mentioned Rafael Espinoza as an opponent, I told them to do whatever it takes to make the fight. I’ve had a long journey in boxing, and this is the opportunity of a lifetime. I am coming to Mexico to ruin his homecoming,” Khegai said
