Riyadh Season & BOXXER Announce New Partnership

On Friday, the latest Saudi deal in boxing was announced as Riyadh Season has now partnered with BOXXER, and the deal will begin with Saturday’s “High Voltage” Card in London, UK. BOXXER is the latest promotional company that has signed a partnership deal with Riyadh Season after seeing promoters Top Rank, Queensberry, Golden Boy, and Matchroom Boxing doing the same over the last few months. The only company that hasn’t done so as of yet is Premier Boxing Champions via Tom Brown’s TGB Promotions.

The following are details regarding the announced partnership between Riyadh Season and BOXXER.

“The partnership sees Riyadh Season become Official Partner of all upcoming BOXXER events in the UK and Ireland with integrations into pre-promotional activity in the build-up to every show and as part of fight night. The collaboration brings together two entities with a shared vision of innovation and the growth of boxing globally. Riyadh Season has transformed the sport in the past twelve months, and this new partnership with BOXXER is further evidence of its commitment to the future of boxing, with support for spectacular fight nights that entertain audiences in the UK & Ireland and internationally.”

Ben Shalom, Founder & CEO of BOXXER, who was recently in a war of words with Eddie Hearn, has been quietly making all of the right moves to ensure his company gets the right type of exposure. The Peacock deal was a surprise, and the app has streamed his shows here in the US. BOXXER has put together some solid shows in the past, and although they have relied mostly on co-promotions for the bigger events, this deal with Riyadh Season gives them a seat at the table for the money grab in the Middle East.

Shalom had this to say about the new partnership deal.

Last Saturday’s opening show was nothing short of spectacular, and we look forward to shining a bright light on all of the upcoming events. With this new deal, Hearn and Shalom will be forced to play nice with each other, and who knows, maybe they can bury the hatchet as they will all be making money together.
