We have arrived to fight week for what looks to be a historic fight night in the middle of Times Square in NYC.
One of boxing’s top stars, Ryan Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs), will be headlining the event titled “Fatal Fury in Times Square” as he faces Rolando “Rolly” Romero (16-2, 13 KOs) in a scheduled 12 round fight for the WBA regular welterweight title. Also on the card is a WBO junior welterweight title fight between the champion Teofimo Lopez (21-1, 13 KOs) going up against top contender Arnold Barboza Jr. (32-0, 11 KOs). Rounding out the card is former two-division champion Devin Haney (31-0, 15 KOs) as he faces Jose Ramirez (29-2, 18 KOs) in a fight where many questions look to be answered by both fighters for vastly different reasons.
With this event being outdoors, will the weather hold up, and how much of an impact, if any, will it have on the results of the fights on Friday night, which have so much riding on them?
Per DraftKings SportsBook, Ryan Garcia is the favorite at -900, and Rolando Romero is the underdog at +550.
Ryan Garcia: TKO/KO -350; Decision +500
Draw: +1800
Rolando Romero: TKO/KO +800; Decision +1800
These timings could change due to the length of the undercard fights.
