Sebastian Fundora Looks To Make A Statement In Rematch
Andy Abeyta/The Desert Sun / USA TODAY NETWORK

That co-main event between Sebastian Fundora and Tim Tszyu is shaping up to be just as high-stakes and brutal as their first war and pairing it with Manny Pacquiao’s return at age 46 makes this PBC on Prime Video card one of the most compelling events of the year.

Sebastian Fundora’s mindset heading into the July 19 rematch with Tim Tszyu is clear, he believes there’s no controversy  he won the first fight decisively, and now he wants to remove all doubt. Fundora is trying to prove this time around that cut or no cut, regardless, he would have been able to outpoint Tszyu for his title. This fight will be the one that will put all of those doubts to the side. Nobody wants another bloodbath, but if it comes to that again, then it’ll be bloodbath war part two.

Aiming to leave no doubt

In an interview with The Ring. Fundora express his excitement in fighting Tszyu for a second time

“I’m happy to fight Tszyu a second time. He’s a great fighter. I’m happy to share another 12 rounds with him.” “I think I beat him clearly the first time, and we have to do it again.”

“I don’t get to pick my fights. That’s my promoter’s job,” said Fundora. “One day it’s this guy, the next day it’s someone else. I just train and fight whoever they put me in against. In my last fight you saw a lot more adjustments and cleaner boxing. We’re growing even more in this fight.”

Despite what Fundora said, you can respect Fundora for making this fight happen by getting stripped of his WBO title and taking the challenge of giving Tszyu his rematch. Clearly citing bigger fish and leaving no doubt this time on who the winner will be in this fight.
