Terence Crawford has to be very careful against Canelo Alvarez, according to a former world champion.
On September 13, the pound-for-pound greats will battle it out at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
The American is a huge underdog, with Abel Sanchez claiming Canelo is too big for Crawford.
In addition, a man who’s felt the Mexican’s power has warned ‘Bud’ of just how lethal it is.
Sheesh: Canelo Alvarez finished opponent with massive height advantage in three rounds
On May 7, 2016, Amir Khan challenged Canelo Alvarez for the WBC middleweight world title.
The Brit was boxing beautifully until a right hand knocked him out cold.
While he actually expects Terence Crawford to beat the superstar, he knows that the switch-hitter can’t afford to lose focus for even a second.
When asked about what Canelo’s power is like during an interview with Seconds Out, he said: “Devastating. I don’t even remember what happened; it was that hard.
“Canelo hits very hard, and remember, I fought him at the peak of his career.”
Khan isn’t the only person picking Crawford to win.
While significantly smaller, the Omaha athlete is equipped with a tremendous skill set.
And that’s enough to convince one man that he’s got more than enough to win the fight.
Interestingly, an ex-heavyweight world champion says Crawford knocks Canelo out.
