The Biggest Fights Of Fall: A Stacked Run Awaits

The fall season is fast approaching, as places such as Krispy Kreme and Starbucks are already starting to roll out the autumn flavor menus, and people are prepping for Halloween. 

But one thing I am really looking forward to this year is the great boxing matches that we have coming up in just a month or two's time.

Fall boxing has always been one of my favorite parts of the year, as there is nothing more relaxing than getting a warm drink, sitting down on the couch, turning on the television, and watching two grown people put on pairs of gloves and beat each other up. 

This year is really special though. We have a veteran who dominated the game before his latest loss, we have an international showdown in Las Vegas, and we have a heavyweight rematch of a bout that was heavily acclaimed by fans and critics alike. 

So, without further ado, here are the breakdowns of these three exciting fights that are coming this fall.

Bout 1- Daniel Dubois vs Fabio Wardley 2

Daniel Dubois and Fabio Wardley had a crazy first fight that was both brutal and entertaining. There were multiple knockdowns, and both fighters were hurt a series of times in the fight. The rematch had been set for these two, and it was to be held on October 17th in Manchester, England. 

Daniel Dubois won the first time these two warriors knuckled up, and he looks to do so again by first establishing the jab early on, and keeping the distance to avoid the power of Wardley. He also needs to be better on defense and avoid overhand rights, as he was knocked down in the first bout. 

Wardley, on the other hand, needs to keep a better pace, as in the first fight he wasted a bunch of energy trying to get the knockout, which made him fade in the later rounds. He also needs to add more variety in his offense, as the overhand right alone will not win him this fight.

Winner prediction: Daniel Dubois

Bout 2- Ryan Garcia vs Conor Benn

Ryan Garcia and Conor Benn are set for an international showdown as Benn will bring over many fans from England to invade Las Vegas for his WBC Championship bout with reigning Titleholder Ryan Garcia. The fight will be going down on September 12th in Las Vegas, Nevada, and will be a Zuffa Boxing event.

For Conor Benn to win this fight, he needs to firstly cut off the ring, and apply loads of pressure to Garcia. 

This will neutralize the speed of Ryan Garcia and will prevent him from planting his feet for power shots. Benn also needs to go to the body as much as he can, and smother the Champion by fighting on the inside. 

Garcia on the other hand will have to control the distance as much as he can and rely on defensive-minded discipline to avoid the power shots of Conor Benn. He will also have to rely on his speed, and lightning-fast hands, as they will be the main part of what will let him keep his precious WBC Title.

Winner prediction: Ryan Garcia

Bout 3- Canelo Alvarez cs Christian Mbilli 

On Halloween night 2026, a fight between one of Boxing's biggest stars and a young, up-and-coming lion will take place in Saudi Arabia when Canelo Alvarez takes on Christian Mbilli for the WBC Super-Middleweight Championship of the World. This will be the comeback fight for Canelo Alvarez after his defeat last year to multi-time Undisputed Champion Terence Crawford, and a chance for Mbilli to show the world what he can do. 

For Mbilli to do this, he must focus on a high-pressure, relentless style of fighting. This will make it so Canelo can't plant his feet to throw his own power shots, or take any kind of a rest between exchanges. It will also test the stamina of Alvarez, and could make him fade later in the fight. But Mbilli will also need to vary his attack angles, while still staying defensively right so the hat doesn't get dropped, or knocked out. 

Canelo, however, can win the fight by firstly controlling the center of the ring to prevent Christian Mbilli from setting up his plan to suffocate him. He also needs to play Mbilli's game of draining his opponent, but for Alvarez, with body shots, and controlled and timed counterpunching that takes advantage of the fact that Mbilli likes to come forward in straight lines. To do all of this effectively though, Canelo will have to pace himself and control his own energy levels.
