As reported by bigfightweekend.com, Canelo Alvarez will battle William Scull for the middleweight title at the ANB Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on May 3.
The event is set to take place live on DAZN Pay-Per-View worldwide.
This fight will be Canelo’s first fight under a four-fight deal with Riyadh Season.
One key to a successful fight for Canelo is experience. Canelo has fought some of the best fighters in boxing. Although Scull is a world champion, he is nowhere near Canelo’s level.
Alvarez has gone against the likes of Floyd Mayweather and Dmitry Bivol and other fighters. Experience of that nature will prove invaluable in his fight against Scull on May 3.
Counterpunching is another skill that Canelo will need to win his bout against Scull. Scull will most likely use his reach to connect with Canelo, but Canelo’s ring IQ will aid him in dodging the punches and being able to come back with his own counter punches.
Canelo also possess an amazing defensive ability. His reflexes are what make his defensive stand exceptional.
