Although Top Rank doesn’t have a media rights deal at the moment, it’s not stopping them from keeping their fighters busy with other promoters and finding creative ways (TR Facebook Page, ESPN Knockouts, etc.) to stream fights from their bigger names. On October 30, the WBA junior middleweight title fight between the champion Mary Spencer (10-2, 6 KOs) and Mikaela Mayer (21-2, 5 KOs) will stream for free on the Top Rank Classics FAST channel (Pluto TV, Tubi, Vizio & Roku).
Along with the main event between Spencer-Mayer, the following undercards will stream on Top Rank Classics starting at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT:
Wilkens Mathieu (14-0, 10 KOs) vs. Shakeel Phinn (27-3-2, 17 KOs), WBC Continental Americas & NABF Super Middleweight Titles
Arthur Biyarslanov (19-0, 16 KOs) vs. Sergey Lipinets (18-4-1, 13 KOs), Biyarslanov’s NABF Junior Welterweight Title
Mehmet Unal (13-0, 11 KOs) vs. Ralfs Vilcans (18-2, 7 KOs), Unal’s WBC Continental Americas Light Heavyweight Title
Christopher Guerrero (15-0, 9 KOs) vs. Williams Andres Herrera (17-4, 7 KOs), Guerrero’s WBC Continental Americas Welterweight Title
The promoter on record is Eye of the Tiger, which has been busy with shows in Canada and has fighters in its stable, including Christian Mbilli, Osleys Iglesias, Arslanbek Makhmudov, and Spencer, who is headlining the event. She last fought in April, scoring a unanimous decision over Ogleidis Suarez. Now she is facing the biggest name to date and will look to capitalize on it. Mayer is making her junior middleweight debut and will have a significant amount of pressure on her to impress at the new weight class during a championship fight.
As far as Top Rank, credit goes to them for keeping their company going while they look to secure a new media rights deal. There are questions whether they will be able to announce a new deal before the end of the year, as we have less than 90 days remaining before we welcome in 2026. Until then, Top Rank will be doing more of these types of deals to keep things flowing.
