Tyson Fury has shared that a third fight with unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk is set for April 18, 2026, at Wembley Stadium. The news comes after Turki Alalshikh, owner of Ring Magazine, said Fury would be returning in 2026. “Who would I rather fight right now? Usyk,” Fury said. “I want my revenge in England. That’s all I want. I want a fair shout and I don’t believe I’ve got a fair shout the last two times.”
Fury announced the trilogy on Instagram. He faced Usyk twice in 2024, losing both times by decision. The former heavyweight champ hinted at a bout with Anthony Joshua if one with Usyk didn’t work out. “If I don’t get that, then it would be Joshua, the biggest British fight that will ever happen. It would break records, and it would sell out 100,000 at Wembley in an hour…It’s a fight that I think can happen for sure if I decide to come back and if the deal’s right,” Fury said.
In January, the “Gypsy King” announced his retirement and later said he would stay retired. Sergey Lapin, head of Team Usyk, told ESPN, “The idea of a third fight with Tyson Fury has been on the table between our teams ever since their second bout. And I have never had any doubt that, together with Goldstar Promotions, we could turn it into a reality. Right now, both Oleksandr Usyk and our team are fully focused on the upcoming fight with Dubois… and on achieving the historic goal of becoming a three-time undisputed world champion.”
A trilogy bout in Wembley Stadium would give the advantage to Fury. It will be one of the biggest fights in boxing history. He is taking a big risk with this challenge because if he loses, he will be 0-3 against Usyk. That could put a stain on his legacy. A win, especially after two close losses, would be great. That could also mean a fourth battle is a possibility, depending on whether there’s a rematch clause for Usyk in the contract.
