Tyson Fury comes into this matchup with more questions than answers. His last two appearances ended in losses to Oleksandr Usyk, and the rematch in particular took a visible toll. Even in his win prior to that, Fury was forced into uncomfortable moments against Francis Ngannou, including a knockdown that shifted the tone of the fight.

His most convincing performances still trace back to 2022 against Dillian Whyte and Derek Chisora, which makes this return less about momentum and more about whether he can reset and respond.

Arslanbek Makhmudov enters with a different kind of profile. He has picked up three wins in his last five outings, including recent victories over David Allen and Ricardo Brown, but the setbacks stand out just as much. Losses to Guido Vianello and Agit Kabayel didn’t go the distance, pointing to defensive issues that can’t be ignored. The power is real, especially early, but this fight will show whether he can stay composed if it turns into a longer, more tactical battle.
